Sunday Morning Brunch

Found this banquette on House Beautiful this evening- another one that I'm loving. I'd like some pillows with a bit more punch and color, but the window seat is lovely and I dig the bench style seating on the other side.
I can picture my Three By Sea sitting here, having our Sunday morning pancakes... Honey and I relaxing and reading...Little Man getting syrup or strawberries all over the cushions...or climbing out that window after some gecko that scurried across the patio...

To Sunday mornings with the family,
Nic

My Kind of Dining

I'm so in love with banquette style dining tables. Yes, I'm one of those people who always wants a booth in restaurants too! I love the simple table and chairs, the color of that sofa and ALL of those windows! What a great place to have breakfast as a family, relax to catch up on some reading and have some lunch or sit into the wee hours of the night with friends, talking and laughing over many glasses of wine!

I feel a new project coming on...

Take care,
Nic

I find myself becoming more and more drawn to white background as a backdrop for all the color I like to have around me.This kitchen by itself is a bit too plain for my tastes, but it could be livened up with just a handful of items- some seat cushions, a different bowl on the table, kitchen towels, and maybe a plant. I also want to believe that these are all easy to clean surfaces, as my son is deep into his mess-making stage...

Scandia White

Corelle is the company that makes those non-breakable dishes- handy when you have a 20 month old who's obsessed with carrying the dirty dishes to the sink. Our dishes are a mix of blue stoneware that I've had for years and a set of outdated Corelle from my husband's bachelor days. Dishes are one of those things we've needed to update, but never get around to doing. I'm digging this set though- simple, understated, and all-purpose. And kidproof. ;)
